During the strategic session on the development of the Russian Arctic zone, which was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Governor Andrey Chibis made a number of initiatives aimed at accelerated socio-economic development of the Russian Arctic.
As the head of the region noted, financing master plan facilities within the framework of national projects is a priority, and it is also important to provide additional federal funding for energy-efficient capital repair programs. In the context of the new geopolitical reality, it is necessary to update strategic documents on the development of the Russian Arctic until 2050 and synchronize them with other regulatory legal acts.
In addition, the issue of providing medical care in the Russian Arctic remains among the key issues. According to the governor, it is necessary to create the most effective model of healthcare in the Arctic – the standard of "Arctic medicine".
"A lot of preparatory work has been done. The initiatives proposed today to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin were formed within the framework of the work of the State Council Commission "The Northern Sea Route and the Arctic". Then, together with colleagues from federal authorities, we will work out the details of the proposals," Andrei Chibis summed up.
