A visiting meeting of the Secretary of the Russian Security Council in the North-Western Federal District was held in Murmansk today. In addition to the Secretary of the Security Council, the Presidential Envoy and the heads of a number of federal authorities, the governors of the regions of the Northwestern Federal District arrived in the capital of the Arctic region. One of the points of the work program was a visit to the Regional Management Center of the Murmansk region.
The center is part of the large-scale project "Smart Region", implemented in the Arctic since 2019. The key task is to increase the speed of response to the problems and requests of the residents of the region. The large-scale project provides for the phased introduction of new digital systems, which are united by a single digital platform for managing the region.
"On the basis of the Regional Management Center, which is essentially a digital twin of the region and provides technological support for information and analytical support for the preparation and decision-making processes of executive authorities and local self-government of the Murmansk region, all the systems of the Smart Region digitalization project are being implemented. And it covers all areas: from transport and housing to education, health and tourism. In two years, we have implemented 15 industry-specific regional information systems that help improve the quality of life in the region on a daily basis," said Oksana Demchenko, First Deputy Governor of the Murmansk Region.
The process of digitalization of the regional management system in the Arctic region is supervised by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Murmansk region, the technology partner is the state Corporation "Rosatom" represented by the division "Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions".
"First of all, video surveillance and video analytics are being implemented in the Regional Control Center. Such systems as photo and video recording of violations, the IP system "Housing and communal services" is an intelligent system of housing and communal services that allows us to eliminate accidents in time, and an intelligent transport system that allows us to track public transport and quickly respond to emergency situations, " explained the Minister of Digital Development of the Murmansk region, Zinaida Razzhivina.
The heads of the regions of the Northwestern Federal District studied the experience of digitalization of the Murmansk Region in various spheres of economy, urban economy and management. In particular, the feedback block was highly appreciated.
