North-Western Phosphorus Company JSC will invest more than 500 million rubles in the development of the Murmansk Region.

An agreement on socio-economic partnership, interaction and cooperation was signed in Moscow between the Government of the Murmansk Region and JSC Northwestern Phosphorus Company, which is part of Acron Group of Companies. The document was signed by Governor Andrey Chibis and CEO of NWFC JSC Evgeny Sozinov in the presence of Vladimir Kantor, Vice President of Acron PJSC.

The main purpose of the agreement is to consolidate the efforts of business and government aimed at improving the quality of life of the region's population with a focus on the core Kirovsko-Apatitskaya agglomeration. It should be recalled that the developed master plans from the Murmansk Region were first presented by Governor Andrey Chibis to Russian President Vladimir Putin in August 2024 and were approved by the head of state, and by order of the Government of the Russian Federation, long-term plans for integrated socio-economic development for the period up to 2035 were approved.

"We are grateful to the Akron Group of Companies and the Northwestern Phosphorus Company for their active production activities, as well as for serious investments in the development of the Murmansk Region, first of all, of course, the city of Apatity, where most of the company's employees work. It is fundamentally important that the company invests not only in production, but also in the quality of people's lives," said Governor Andrey Chibis.

As Vladimir Kantor noted, the Northwestern Phosphorus Company continues to actively develop.

"The company invests heavily in developing its resource base and increasing the production of commercial products - apatite concentrate. In addition, we are actively investing in the social sphere, because the comfort of the residents of those settlements where our employees live and work is an absolute priority for us," said Vladimir Kantor.

Over the next three years, more than 500 million rubles will be invested in creating comfortable infrastructure and improving the social sphere of the agglomeration, as well as improving the natural environment. The funds are planned to be used for the implementation of such major projects as the improvement of the Lyubkino Boloto Park, the UIA FGC Athlete ski stadium and the construction of an indoor football arena in Apatity. Major repairs of cultural and sports facilities, improvement of public spaces for recreation and leisure of residents of the Kirovsko-Apatitskaya agglomeration are also planned. The company will also participate in financing a project to improve the Teriberka Nature Park.
