Promising investment projects available for implementation in the Murmansk region were presented in Moscow

The Murmansk Region Government team presented promising investment projects available for implementation in the region. The event brought together more than 80 business representatives at the site of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. Andrey Chibis, Governor of the Murmansk Region, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

"Over the past 6 years, we have increased our economic and industrial potential for decades to come. We have created new opportunities for the Northerners living here now and for future generations. We are changing the face of our cities and have increased investments in healthcare, education, social support, construction, housing and communal services, and sports. Our plans for the development of the Arctic are specific: they are fixed in the master plans of the Arctic agglomerations, which were developed and approved by Vladimir Vladimirovich as part of the work of the State Council Commission on the NSR and the Arctic. This is a specific set of actions, which projects need to be implemented in specific territories in order to make the Arctic stronger, more attractive and more comfortable to live in. And due to the fact that we have created the best conditions for doing business in the Arctic: the Murmansk region is attractive for investment for the creation and development of the largest production facilities. We invite you to develop the Arctic together!" the governor said via video link.

Elena Diaghileva, Senator of the Federation Council from the Murmansk Region, also welcomed the participants of the event, noting that systematic and effective work is underway at the federal level to improve business conditions in the Russian Arctic.

"On behalf of Vladimir Vladimirovich, a single preferential regime for the Arctic zone and the Far East will start operating in 2027. It will combine the key existing preferences and become a new page in the history of the socio-economic development of the macroregions. Our common goal is to continue to increase investment attractiveness and create conditions under which, regardless of the harsh climate, the northern rise in price and other objective factors, the Arctic, our native Murmansk region, will become more comfortable, brighter and more attractive," said the senator.

Svetlana Panfilova, Deputy Governor and Minister of Development of the Murmansk Region, introduced the guests of the event to the economic and investment potential of the Murmansk Region.

"Murmansk is not just a tourist gateway to the Arctic, not just a sea gate, but also a gateway to the Arctic for business, because the projects that we are implementing, of course, they are primarily related to the fact that Murmansk is the main port of the Transarctic transport corridor, the gateway, as I have already said The Northern Sea Route, I say. And the port of Murmansk determines the advantages and the investment potential that we, of course, possess," Svetlana Panfilova noted.

The event became an effective platform for communication between investors interested in the implementation of projects in the Murmansk region and the opportunity to get acquainted with the investment team of the region. The organizers devoted a separate block of the program to the topic of tourism. The participants were presented with a range of projects to create hotel complexes and recreation centers in different regions of the region – from the Barents to the White Seas.

The event participants were told about projects that will contribute to the further development of the Arctic: an industrial park in Murmansk, the creation of production facilities in the construction industry, a racquet sports center, a fish food mall and a restaurant.

The presentation of investment projects in the Murmansk Region was supported by the National Association of Investment and Development Agencies. Previously, similar events in the Murmansk Region outside the region were held within the framework of the International Exhibition-Forum "Russia" and at the Russian PPP Week. As a result, agreements were reached with investors on the implementation of new investment projects in the region, said Artem Kuksa, General Director of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation.

"We see that the presentation has provoked a response from the business community, heads of companies, commercial structures and development institutions. A wide range of government support measures in the Murmansk Region creates all the necessary conditions for the implementation of investment projects. We have presented a small part of the sought-after projects, including
There are a large number of projects in the master plans of agglomerations that need to be considered jointly with investors. Work with all interested parties will continue: in the near future we will hold a series of negotiations, outline a plan for further cooperation, and invite you to visit the region to explore the venues," said Artem Kuksa.
