As part of Russia's chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021-2023, a conference on bioresources and fisheries in the Arctic will be held in Arkhangelsk on May 11-12.
The Arctic zone is a strategically important territory of the Russian Federation. The research and development of Arctic water reserves, the development of the infrastructure of the fisheries complex of the region, as well as the training of professional personnel are topical issues that require a comprehensive and coordinated solution.
The conference will become a platform for dialogue between representatives of government, science and business to develop effective mechanisms on which the development of the Arctic region and the preservation of its ecosystem depend.
