The delegation of the Murmansk Region took part in the final event of the VTB course "Large infrastructure projects in the regions of the Russian Federation: from idea to implementation". The intramural intensive was held on the basis of the ultramodern campus of the St. Petersburg State University Graduate School of Management in St. Petersburg.
The event was also attended by representatives of government authorities, development and business institutions from the Chelyabinsk and Leningrad regions, as well as the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug of Yugra and Perm Krai.
As part of the course, students gained practical knowledge on the implementation of projects based on the principles of public-private partnership: they studied the basics of financial modeling and analysis of the effectiveness of investment projects, gained experience in project risk assessment and management, reviewed examples of infrastructure projects implemented by VTB Group, shared their own experience in implementing PPP projects in the regions in various infrastructure sectors, and much more.

As part of the event, Olga Dergunova was presented with a letter of thanks from the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis for assistance in the implementation of investment projects in the region.

A step-by-step path from the idea to the launch of large infrastructure projects in Russia is presented and presentations on their example are given. Much attention is paid to the issues of project financing. We began to apply the acquired knowledge in the learning process. In the near future, we are preparing to launch two concession agreements on sports facilities," said Egor Bogachenkov, Director of the PPP Department of the Murmansk Region Development Corporation.
