The export potential of the Murmansk region was presented to foreign traders

A reverse fishing business mission is operating in Murmansk, organized by the Russian Export Center (REC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region. The foreign delegation included representatives of distribution companies interested in establishing partnerships with fishing companies in the region.

The business program began with a plenary session dedicated to the priorities of developing trade and economic cooperation between Russia and China in the supply of Russian fish products and the export potential of the Murmansk Region in this area.

Svetlana Panfilova, Deputy Governor and Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, made a presentation on the economic and transport opportunities of the region.

"The Murmansk Region is an export–oriented region. The geography of supplies includes 58 countries, including Africa, Asia, Europe, North and Latin America. Fish and fish products account for a significant share of our exports," Svetlana Panfilova noted.

Alexander Pryakhin, Head of the Representative Office of JSC REC in Kaliningrad, spoke about the prospects of Russian-Chinese trade relations and measures of state support for export-oriented enterprises.

The meeting continued with B2B negotiations between members of the foreign delegation and invited companies from the Murmansk region of fisheries and aquaculture. During the negotiations, the participants discussed the possibilities of cooperation and the implementation of joint projects. Visits to enterprises will be organized for the guests of the region to get acquainted with the production features.
